Hey Gang I got tagged again and I'll get to that in just a second but I wanted to give everyone a bit of an update.... My Grandson is the cutest baby ever! Not that I'm biased or anything but he's just adorable! Born on December 4th and just as healthy and happy as can be. I'm so proud of my Son and Daughter-In-Law! They're doing a great job as new parents and I wish them the best. I've been out of town and doing shows selling everything I've got... I mean that literally I've only got three of my drawings left! I sold all of my little jewelry boxes and most of my wine boxes. Now I'm gonna have to get busy again I'm currently trying to finish a quilt that I started years ago. I had a good Christmas and I hope all of my friends did too!

01.  What is your favorite animal?  I'd have to say the cat's are my favorite but I love to draw birds of all types too.
02.  What is your favorite holiday? Halloween!!! I've got more Halloween decorations than I do Christmas decorations
03.  What country do you live in? and where if in the US  Okay I live in San Angelo, Texas that's just about the center of Texas
04.  What is your favorite get away place? Any place where I can fish and camp. I love going to State parks and exploring new State parks too
05.  Do you prefer the beach or the forest? Oh that's a tough one but I'd have to choose the beach
06.  Do you do your art full time or as a hobby? It's full time for me and I may not make much money at it but I really enjoy it
07.  If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be? I've been wanting to visit Washington but I think it'd be cool to go to Australia!
08.  Do you have pets? We have five cats in the house now and a bunch of fish... Plus an old Sheltie
09.   Do you have any phobias? I don't like heights too much any more and snakes scare me
10.  Who is your favorite artist, past or present?   Norman Rockwell I love his artwork

Hey everyone I know it's been awhile since I wrote in my journal so let me give yall an update as to what's happening in my life Just had my birthday and I have to thank you all for the great birthday wishes from everyone! I've managed to quit smoking (again) this time I swear I'm not picking them back up I may love a good cigar but now I know that I simply can't smoke one... I get addicted to them too easily I've got a big show coming up this weekend and I'm trying to get everything ready for that. It's a two day deal and I made pretty good money at the one like this back in March so I'm hoping to do really well at this one too... I just hope I can get enough stuff completed to really make a good showing of my work. Mostly I've got to finish up some woodworking stuff I think I've got enough stuff drawn except for artcards but they should be fairly easy to whip out My good friend SvenjaLiv sent me the picture she did of Jenson Ackles and I just received it! It's truly awesome! The mail was a little rough on it though and it's got some creases in it so I'm trying to flatten it back out by pressing it in a book. I didn't realize that she'd created this piece with metallic colors and it's just amazing! I've tried using them a little bit before but never with much success so I'm very impressed with this piece... Here's a thumbnail of it...

I you don't know Svenja or know of her work you should really take the time to check out her gallery I'm sure you'll be delighted. I recently purchased a set of Faber-Castells Poloychromos and I'm happy to announce that I enjoyed using them! I don't think they'll replace my beloved Prismacolors but I'll definitely be adding them to my arsenal. In other news my good friend dreamarian is holding her Halloween HooDoo contest again this year! I don't know if I'll be participating in it but please check it out and join in the fun! At the very least keep tabs on it because the artwork submitted to this contest will be fantastic!
