Tug Of Worm

Well here it is FINALLY!!! My first piece of 2013!

This is done with my trusty Prismacolor colored pencils and created on Strathmore's 500 series hot press watercolor paper. I really liked this paper and would recommend it to anyone doing colored pencil work. It's smoother than regular watercolor paper and held up well against my punishment I used a free desktop background that I found using Google search for the reference of this piece. It was portrait oriented and I made it landscape which meant doing more background for the piece and creating the tail for the robin. I'm framing it today in a frame that I hand made just for this picture. If anyone's interested I might get a shot of the framed piece and post it.
